Terms of Service

01 // Transit Insurance

To secure the financial integrity of high-value botanical specimens, Tree Supply Co., a brandname of Lake Ploenta LLC, requires Full-Value Transit Insurance for all shipments. In the event of catastrophic transit failure, we serve as the facilitator for the insurance claim process to secure replacement capital or refunds.

02 // The Field Inspection Window

Insurance carriers require immediate verification of loss. The buyer is bound to a 12-hour inspection window from the timestamp of delivery. All claims must include 5 high-resolution photographs documenting the damage (trunk, canopy, root ball, and container) submitted via email to claims@treesupply.co.

Critical Limitation: Claims filed after the 12-hour window are ineligible for insurance coverage, as the carrier classifies subsequent damage as "post-delivery environmental stress."

03 // Definitional Exclusions

Living specimens are subject to natural transit adaptation. Minor cosmetic "Transit Stress"—including localized leaf drop, interior foliage yellowing, or secondary branch breakage (under 4 inches)—does not constitute a compromised specimen and is excluded from insurance claims.

04 // Logistics & Site Accessibility

It is the sole responsibility of the Buyer to verify that the delivery site can accommodate the vehicle dimensions and overhead clearances specified on the invoice. This verification must be completed prior to payment. Site inaccessibility resulting in re-consignment or missed delivery after an invoice is settled is the sole financial responsibility of the buyer.

05 // Transfer of Liability

Signature is required for all specimens 15-gallon and larger. Signature confirms physical receipt and initiates the 12-hour Field Inspection Window. Liability for environmental stress or improper handling transfers to the buyer instantly upon the removal of the tree from its nursery container or the cutting of root-ball stabilization materials. No "Growth Guarantees" are offered due to the variables of local soil, irrigation, and planting depth.
